World's Largest Truck Convoy
The Special Olympics World’s Largest Truck Convoy is an annual event that is held on the same weekend across North America. This event consists of a convoy of multiple trucks- all in support of Special Olympics.
Every year, a compassionate army of truck drivers participate in the World’s Largest Truck Convoy, driving from Saskatoon to Regina to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes and change attitudes toward people with intellectual disabilities. Truckers meet in Saskatoon and are escorted in convoy to Regina where they are welcomed by the Special Olympics community – athletes, families, friends, colleagues, LETR officers, as well as organizations, companies and agencies that make up the trucking industry. A celebration – which includes a barbeque and awards ceremony, will be held to recognize participating truckers and the support of the trucking industry.
The 2012 Truck Convoy will take place on September 15. The convoy will start at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, and end at the Turvey Centre in Regina. Click here for the pledge form
Special Olympics Saskatchewan/ WHL Training for Life Power Breakfast
The SaskPower Training for Life Breakfast Series is an annual event held in partnership with SaskPower, Special Olympics Saskatchewan, and a participating WHL team.
The Training for Life Breakfasts are a weekday morning event featuring a Business Breakfast with keynote speaker and silent auction. These breakfasts have been known to sell out fast in previous years and are an event that many individuals and sponsors look forward to every year. The proceeds from these breakfasts go towards Special Olympics Saskatchewan and each WHL team's education fund.
Currently, we have a Training for Life Breakfast that runs in Prince Albert in conjunction with the Prince Albert Raiders. More WHL partnerships are still to come in 2012. Check back for updates!
The "Training for Life" Breakfasts are proudly sponsored by
