The special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece have come and gone. Special Olympics Saskatchewan would like to congratulate the 4 athletes who represented Saskatchewan and Canada extremely well. All 4 Athletes came home with medals!
Michael Qing has won Gold, and 2 silvers! Michael got gold swimming in the 200M Freestyle race, while getting silvers in the 100M and 200M Breastroke races.
Michelle Shepherd has won a Bronze Medal. She earned her bronze in the 4 member team bowling competition.
Lauren Weigel earned a bronze Medal in the 800M race!
Dwight Safroniuk Won 2 gold medals. He won golds in the singles 10-pin singles, and with Viateur Beaudry won gold in doubles 10-pin bowling.
